Need to sell or re-register your car? We do Queensland Safety Certificates.
If you are planning to sell your car, transfer registration to a new owner, or re-register your old vehicle, you will need to acquire a roadworthy certificate as a proof that your car runs well and is safe to drive. In Queensland, this is also called a safety certificate.
Generally, a roadworthy certificate inspection covers the following, among other safety-related components:
Body rust or damage
Windscreen, including windscreen wipers
Only approved inspection stations (AIS) and licensed inspectors can perform this service. Titan Automotive is an AIS with two licensed inspectors on site. So if you’re looking to get a safety certificate for your car within or around the Gold Coast area, we can assist you.
It is important to note, however, that these inspections are only a basic safety check for the vehicle and not a full mechanical examination. While you may need a more comprehensive inspection to ensure that your car is in good shape, the issuance of safety certificates primarily aims to prove to the government that your vehicle isn’t likely to be a danger on the road.

The Importance of Safety Certificates
Safety certificates, or roadworthy certificates, are necessary to ensure that vehicles on the road are properly maintained and running well. They make the city safer by lowering the number of poorly maintained vehicles on the road.
For vehicles that are deemed unsafe, a safety certificate isn’t released because they could bring danger, not only to the driver, but to passengers and pedestrians as well. It is, therefore, important for vehicles to be properly maintained in order to acquire a corresponding safety certificate from Queensland Transport.
